Cavaterm™ is a safe, simple and reliable medical device used to treat women suffering from

The minimal invasive Cavaterm™ system consists of a central unit and a single-use balloon catheter. The system is based on a balloon technology, combining heat, circulation and pressure for ten minutes to destroy the dysfunctional tissue layers within the uterus.

Adjustable silicone balloon catheter
The adjustable and flexible silicone balloon is designed to fit all uterine cavity sizes. The silicone balloon is adjustable in length to provide the best internal cavity fit and to protect the cervix and the vagina from undesirable burns. The silicone is flexible and anti-allergenic.

Self-regulated Soft-Heat™ elements
The Cavaterm™ plus catheter uses a unique heating system. It consists of thin lamellae of a special semi-conductive material mix with inherent self-regulating properties. The default working temperature maintains the liquid at a constant target temperature of 78°C. The Soft-Heat™ heating elements deliver the appropriate temperature for optimal tissue coagulation exactly where the heat is needed thus preventing undesired side effects.

Vigorous circulation
Hot liquid is vigorously circulated inside the balloon catheter in order to ensure an even temperature over the entire balloon surface. This unique circulation system allows a uniform heat treatment through the tissue.

Pressure adjustment
The catheter is based on an easy pressure adjustment system which can be maintained and adjusted at any time during the procedure allowing a good and constant heat penetration into basal layers.

Central unit
The Cavaterm™ central unit is simple to operate and handle. It controls and displays the treatment parameters and generates the circulation in the balloon catheter ensuring an even temperature over the entire balloon surface. This ensures homogenous tissue destruction on the whole cavity surface and an effective treatment outcome. The central unit is also equipped with a dual safety structure consisting of electronic and mechanical systems to avoid overpressure.
